About the Employer

They are market leaders at providing innovative solutions for merchandising displays and in-store promotional communications. Primarily they make point of sale displays with half of their business being both screen and digital printing; printing everything from brown bags, floor decals, banners and a range of other products.

 About the Opportunity  

Mō Te Huarahi  

Fabrication work is varied and can include working with metals to create specific products, working from design engineers' drawings, measuring, cutting, bending and welding metals, and testing the finished products.

The training is tailored to the type of work you do and APC are very experienced in training apprentices.


The type of things you will be involved in are welding, light gauge mild steel, high quality finish for presentation displays, use of other metal shop tools, drills, etc, assemble and pack products. There is also the opportunity to learn laser-cutting and to use the brake press.

About You          


We are looking for someone who wants a Career, not just a job. You will receive excellent training her in how to produce high-quality work so you must be committed to learning, to your career and looking for a long-term opportunity.

You will have:

  • NCEA Level two, at least English and Maths
  • Desire to be a metal worker
  • Be mechanically minded so can visualize things
  • Like working with your hands and putting things together
  • Basic math ability to figure out dimensions and read drawings
  • Outstanding work ethic and reliability
  • An eye for detail and a high standard of work 
  • Good communication skills, and a positive, can-do outlook 


Ngā Hāora  

Hours will be discussed with you at interview stage. The team usually work from 6.00 am to 2.30 pm which means you will beat the traffic.



Te Tohu  

New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) (Level 4) with strand in Light Fabrication
