Color Communications Inc Australasia (CCIA) is a unique print manufacturing company.

As part of a global group of companies CCIA manufactures colour cards and paint colour swatches for the paint industry. We supply our products across New Zealand, Australia and the Middle East. Our products can be seen in all hardware and DIY stores in the paint department.

We are truly unique in that we combine true paint colour and print to produce accurate colour sampling. Our team are dedicated and take pride in producing quality products to our customer base.

About the Opportunity

If you are looking for a career or are thinking of making a change this may suit you. Working in the wonderful world of colour is exciting. CCIA is looking for a keen engaged apprentice to join our production plant in East Tamaki.

Training in sheet fed printing plus other print and finishing trades. In addition, exposure to unique production methods. Working in a small, dedicated print department providing print service to the production process.

‍About You


A high level of safety awareness is a requirement for this opportunity as is a good level of physical fitness as there is a fair amount of heavy lifting and moving. Full training will be provided so we are looking for someone who has the willingness to learn.

You will need:

  • NCEA Level 2 in English, Maths, and basic computer skills
  • Be mechanically minded
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Be a team player with effective communication
  • A practical approach to diagnosing and solving problems
  • A great attitude with great timekeeping
  • Be available to work shifts and reasonable amounts of overtime as and when required


Ngā Hāora  


The hours of work will be discussed with you at interview stage. The standard hours are worked in shifts. The length of the shift varies from 8 -10 hours depending on the overtime required and shift roster.


Te Tohu  


New Zealand Certificate in Print (Level 4) with strand in Offset Printing

This apprenticeship is primarily an on-the-job training program, working alongside qualified trades personal to learn the Printing process within the Printing process.

Graduates of Offset Printing will also be able to:

  • Prepare job components and make ready, the offset printing machinery and any associated equipment to make plates and produce printed product using the offset printing process.
