Brief Job Description

As a Trades Assistant in HVAC/Refrigeration and build your skills with hands-on training in a safe, supportive, and growth-focused environment.

·        Assist HVAC tradesmen with service and installation tasks.

·        Perform inspections, maintenance, and testing of HVAC and refrigeration equipment under supervision.

·        Support planned and reactive maintenance of water and air treatment systems.

·        Assist with general labour duties, including delivery of materials, fire damper testing, filter cleaning, and plantroom upkeep.

·        Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues.

·        Manage administrative tasks such as call reports and timesheets.

·        Participate in toolbox meetings, training, and workplace safety audits.

·        Comply with company policies and safety regulations, promoting a strong culture of health and safety.

About You

Mōu 

·        A strong desire to develop a career in building services, particularly commercial and industrial HVAC/refrigeration.

·        Previous trade or construction labour experience advantageous but not mandatory.

·        Basic understanding of codes and standards relevant to HVAC and refrigeration.

·        NCEA Level2 or equivalent minimum education.

·        Technical certificates or licenses in relevant areas preferred.

·        Current full New Zealand driver’s licence.

·        Site Safe Building Construction pass preferred.

Hours

Ngā Hāora  

40 hours per week, to be worked Mon - Friday between the hours of 7.30am and 7pm (8 hours per day)
