About the role
We’re seeking experienced professionals from the wood manufacturing industry to
assess learners in areas like sawmilling, laminating, drying, treatment, finger jointing,
and machining. This contract role requires travel across regions to support learners
in achieving NZQA unit standards and completing their apprenticeships or
traineeships.
What you’ll do
- Assess learners in wood manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with Training Advisors to plan and schedule visits
- Travel regionally to engage with learners and ensure their progress.
What we’re looking for
- A strong background in wood manufacturing (e.g., sawmilling, machining,
treating) - Unit Standard 4098 is preferred (support available to obtain this)
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to travel.
