Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Plan and prepare for inspections of passive fire protection systems in buildings.
- Develop and manage appropriate reports, records and documentation for passive fire protection.
- Apply a broad knowledge of fire safety design in buildings, and passive fire products and systems, to all aspects of passive fire protection.
- Apply effective communication, interpersonal skills and safety practices in the work environment.
Graduates of the Construction Monitoring strand will also be able to:-
- Conduct building inspections of passive fire protection systems in buildings during construction to determine their compliance with the Building Consent.
