Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply hazard and risk assessment procedures to day to day work to meet basic health and safety requirements within the furniture industry
- Apply knowledge and techniques relating to hand tool use and maintenance and furniture construction to make furniture.
Graduates of the Upholstery strand will also be able to:
- Apply knowledge of frame construction, fabrics and tools, and process goods and materials to upholster furniture items.
