Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply workplace health and safety practices to a wood handling and distribution operation.
- Apply knowledge of environmental, business or operational requirements, market opportunities and key performance indicators to a wood manufacturing operation.
Graduates of the Wood Fibre Operations strand will also to:
- Operate machinery, equipment and processes to produce wood chip and fibre products specific to wood chipping operations.
- Collect and test wood chip samples and interpret results to maintain the quality requirements of wood chip and wood fibre as a by-product in wood manufacturing
