Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Assess and minimise risk to self, others and plant equipment.
- Apply knowledge of environmental issues, productivity, quality and performance improvement to a wood panel manufacturing operation.
Graduates of the Laminated Veneer Lumber and Plywood strand will also be able to:
- Operate laminated veneer lumber or plywood plant and equipment to produce quality products and meet productivity requirements.
- Monitor production parameters and identify operating and equipment faults and take corrective actions required to control laminated veneer lumber or plywood plant and equipment.
