Qualification detail

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the wood manufacturing industry with people who have the skills and knowledge relevant to operational roles in the areas of log yard, wood fibre, and timber yard operations.

Graduates will understand hazard management and will be able to perform tasks specific to operational roles within these areas, under limited supervision.

Strand:

• Log yard operations: 53 credits, 12 months
• Wood fibre operations: 55 credits, 12 months
• Timber yarding and dispatch: 50 credits, 12 months
