About the Employer

Mō Te Kaitukumahi 

We are a locally owned and operated metal fabrication business based in Queenstown, specialising in stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, brass, and copper work. Our projects range from kitchens and architectural features to vehicle and marine modifications. You’ll be joining a small, supportive team passionate about quality work and continuous learning. We offer hands-on training across a variety of fabrication techniques, giving you the opportunity to build strong skills and grow your career in the engineering and fabrication industry.

About the Opportunity

Mō Te Huarahi  

As an apprentice, you will be hands-on with a wide range of fabrication tasks including measuring, cutting, welding, polishing, and assembling metal components. You’ll learn to work with stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and more. Day-to-day, you’ll assist tradespeople on the workshop floor and out on site jobs. You’ll report to the Workshop Manager and work alongside a small, experienced team who will support your training. Over time, you’ll gain skills in fabrication techniques, site installation, and interpreting drawings.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, shows initiative, isn’t afraid to ask questions, and is keen to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with their hands, punctual, a team player, and comfortable with basic numbers and measurements.
