About the Employer

Mō Te Kaitukumahi 

We are looking for an up-and-coming Sheet metal fabricator - we manufacture spouting downpipes rain heads and anything custom made in most light weight metals from colorsteel - galv – copper -stainless steel. You don't have to have experience in this field directly but just be someone with a strong attention to detail, able to work with their hands, picks up new concepts and ideas quickly, has the right work ethic, self-starter, and just has the willingness and be keen to learn.

About the Opportunity

Mō Te Huarahi  

- Reading of drawings and specifications to determine job, materials and equipment requirements.

- Selecting metal and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of stock against specifications.

- Marking metal with reference points, lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments.

- Cutting metal using shears guillotines and drills.

- Using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers.

- Assembling components into products by welding, riveting and soldering.

- Polishing finished products.

- Repairing sheet metal products.

- Manufacture of metal downpipes, spouting, trays, rain heads and other products as required.

- Helping with packing and despatching of goods.

- Assist with stocktake when required.

- Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy.

Great attention to detail, good with their hands, willingness to learn, self motivated, picks up new ideas and skills with ease, cares about the small things - its the details that matter. Right attitude along side a great work ethic - Reliable, consistent, and has a sense of humour
