Since the return to work after the COVID-19 lockdown, we’ve seen a concerning increase in workplace injuries. Some of you may not be doing your normal tasks or you may be doing one task for much longer than you normally would. Please make sure safety is always on your mind and that you are focused on what you are doing and aware of those working around you. If you haven’t had training or have little experience completing a task, inform your employer and ask them to train you.
It’s also important to take regular breaks, always wear your PPE and report all incidents and injuries as soon as possible. We need to ensure you go home the same way you arrived at work - healthy and safe. If you have any concerns, talk to your workplace supervisor or Competenz training advisor.
