Consent to Assess
Consent to assess is awarded to a school when it has shown it is capable of assessing against particular unit standards. Consent to assess is required for some unit standards but not all. Please check NZQA for details on your schools base scope to assess.
Workforce Development Councils manage the consent to assess process.
Moderation
The Workforce Development Councils are responsible for setting standards and managing a moderation system for schools who are assessing unit standards. Moderation ensures assessment against unit standards are fair and consistent.
