Are you looking for new talent but are short on time? Competenz, along with other Work Based Learning (WBL) organisations and with the support of the Ministry of Education, is part of nine SpeedMeet events across Aotearoa over August and September.
SpeedMeet events are a great chance for you to meet with secondary students who are looking for a career. Employers will meet with each student for six minutes, then both note whether they’d like to see each other again. Matches are made and contact details are shared for another meeting.
SpeedMeet is held at a secondary school, but students from other secondary schools in the area are welcome to attend.
It’s free to participate. We just ask that you are available 8:30am to 2:30pm on the day, are able to bring at least one person to conduct the interviews (it can be a busy day) and also bring an internet-enabled device for the matching process. You are welcome to bring a branded sign/banner for behind your table.
You will be provided with a table and chairs, lunch and refreshments.
Click the link below to view the location options and register your business. Note that some dates and venues are still to be confirmed. If you have questions, please contact your training advisor.
See you there!
To address our skills shortage NZ’s employers must broaden thinking about who is targeted for vocational education and training and how we train them.
