Wood manufacturing qualification reviews in 2019

April 1, 2019

Why are these qualifications being reviewed?

Every qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework has a proposed review date. Qualification reviews are part of the lifecycle of a qualification. It is now time to decide whether these qualifications are still fit for purpose or require a review.

What will be achieved during the review?

A review ensures the purpose and graduate profile read clearly and meet the needs of end users. This is also an opportunity for industry to advise us on skills shortages, the strategic direction of industry training for your sector, trends within the sector, and changes in technology for your future workforce.

Where do we begin?

The starting point will be feedback on how much the qualifications are being used as well as their usefulness, and deciding how this relates to the industry needs for the next five-year cycle. Competenz will be soon establish both sector and technical advisory groups to capture that feedback.
