This is an opportunity where most work is in our facility in Glendene, with some onsite work where you will be using a variety of hand tools, power tools, cutting saws, guillotines as you progress through the apprenticeship.
Mō Te Huarahi
• A proactive attitude to learn welding skills and techniques • Assist qualified tradespeople by performing tasks under their direct supervision • Working with hand tools, power tools and CNC machines • Work with stainless steel, aluminium, mild and galvanised steel sheet • Work with a commitment to safety at all times • Be punctual, professional and act with integrity at all times.
Mōu
6 – 12 months
We want to hear from you if you have: • NCEA Level 2 qualifications, particularly in Mathematics, English and Physics (a pre-trade engineering course is a plus) • Strong communication skills and attention to detail • Basic tool-handling skills (hand tools, power tools and CNC machines) • Mechanical aptitude • A proactive approach to learning – including a commitment to undertake studies, exams and to complete a trade certificate • Effective time management and organisational skills • Problem solving skills • A valid NZ drivers’ licence and reliable transportation.
