Mō Te Kaitukumahi
We are a retail Danish-European Bakery-cafe in Christchurch. We are specializing in the craft of scratch baking sour dough breads, Danish pastries and cakes whilst complementing our range of award winning bakery products with traditional New Zealand style products of pies and cakes. We are a national award winning bakery that supplies all products to our onsite cafe and retail store. Our baking is all hands on, scratch baking with no pre mixes, developed from 35 years of of solid baking from the same family run and owned business. We have craft and master bakers on the floor baking and supervising and mentoring apprentices who are passionate and keen to learn the craft of all aspects of the baking trade over a three year training process.
Mō Te Huarahi
Paid employment whilst acquiring onsite training on the craft bakery floor learning the craft of baking sour dough bread, pastry and cakes and supervised by master bakers and other senior apprentices.
Mōu
No experience, school leaver, or starting out learner in tertiary education with a keen desire to learn the craft of baking.
Must be fit and able with a drivers license to start early in the mornings from 3am. Need to have numeracy and literacy level 1 -2 . Reliable, keen, passionate about learning to bake.
